Verder Group accelerates client onboarding through collaboration with Banqup

19.09.2025Verder Group has partnered with Banqup to streamline client onboarding, enabling faster account creation and immediate financial support for over 15,000 clients.

Verder Group, the Netherlands’ largest provider of financial care services for individuals, has entered into a collaboration with Banqup, streamlining the way new clients are onboarded and supported financially. Following a successful pilot, Banqup’s payment infrastructure has now been fully integrated into Verder Group’s systems, enabling near-instant issuance of new IBANs and significantly accelerating access to financial stability for thousands of clients.

Verder Group supports more than 15,000 individuals across the Netherlands through services including budget management, financial guardianship, debt relief, mentoring, and curatorship. With over 50 professionals operating from seven regional offices, the ability to open new accounts quickly is critical to the delivery of timely and effective support.

Technology with social impact

Before adopting Banqup’s infrastructure, opening a custodial account could take up to four months — often delaying crucial financial assistance. Today, through Banqup’s integrated platform, a new client account can be activated in as little as 1–3 working days, immediately enabling the flow of income and expense management.

"Every day we work with people who are in financial distress. A quick start is not a luxury — it’s a necessity," says Joost van Eijk, spokesperson for Verder Group. "Thanks to our collaboration with Banqup, we’re now able to take control much faster and bring peace of mind to our clients when they need it most. What used to take months now takes days — that’s a game changer for our work."
“This collaboration is a great example of how financial infrastructure can directly contribute to social impact,” said Hans De Wit, Business Development Manager at Banqup. “We’re proud to support Verder Group’s mission by making account creation faster, more secure, and fully digital.”
A seamless, scalable solution

The integration with Banqup allows Verder Group to:

  • Instantly generate IBANs for new clients via a secure digital process

  • Automate payment instructions and transaction allocation

  • Reduce administrative effort through secure document exchange and digital workflows

This partnership marks a significant leap forward in Verder Group’s digital transformation journey. By reducing wait times, improving transparency, and automating financial flows, Banqup empowers Verder Group to serve more people — faster, and with greater accuracy.
